Welcome to Oink Inc Heritage. We are a large family on a small farm in Virginia. Our love for farming started with a small order of chickens in 2011. One look at those chicks and we were hooked, farm life it was!. So we started building chicken houses and making fencing to add more to our very little group of chickens.
Here we are in 2015 and we have pigs, a goat, chickens, ducks and geese and loving every minute of it. We are handling the day to day farm work while raising soon to be 10 kids!.Life is crazy fun and we would not change any part of it!. The kids love the open air and the freedom of farming and running the property. It never gets old.. at times it gets cold and you sometimes think “Was I crazy for taking on such project in farming?”. That quickly gets melted away when you hear the squeals of your pigs knowing the fam is coming with their chow!.
The little sounds and not so little sounds of the farm get us every time. There is no better joy than having your family by your side while you tend to your animals and make other families happy by what your animals have produced. The time and effort and countless hours checking on animals is so worth it to see others happy with what they are bringing home!.
Please keep tabs on us to see our family grow both human and non human alike. We would love to have you along for the ride in this journey we call life and farming, and making our goal to homestead.
Here on the farm we will be offering:
Kunekune pigs
Meat/Pet Rabbits ( flemish giant and standard rex)
Hatching eggs ( Icelandic chicken,Toulouse geese,Saxony ducks ( spring 2016) and Cotton Patch Geese ( spring 2016)
Chicks from our Icelandic flock and goslings from our Toulouse.... (mid/spring until laying season is over in 2015)
Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs ( ready for market spring 2016)
We are excited about the projects we will be working on this year.
