We welcomed 3 new pigs to the property this spring. A whole new breed!. The wonderful Gloucestershire Old Spot Pig!. They are on the threatened list and we look forward to working with this beautiful heritage breed of pig. Next spring we will have some spotted snouts on the ground and couldn't be happier.
Our pigs are registered with GOSA and GOSPBU and we will strive to keep the standard of the breed as true to itself as we can and are excited to join others in conserving the breed, known as the Orchard Pig for their love and use in the apple orchards. They love to graze in the pasture and couldn't be happier laying over for a belly rub.
Our goal is to bring this breed from our farm to your farm or to your table. Our hope is to hit market by spring of 2016 bringing you beautiful pork and amazing personality if you choose to bring this pig to your farm for breeding. We will only have a select few from our litters that we will deem good enough to be registered and the rest we will be offering to you to feed your family.
In the fall our hope will be to travel again to add more breeding stock to have a comfortable sized herd for pasture raised organically supplemented pork. We will owe our boar and sows a big thank you for their efforts.
Excited to open up the list for pork soon!.
